Cyclidius 속은 신열대구에 주로 분포하며, Cy. elongatus 를 제외한 나머지 5종은 잘 알려지지 않 았다. 본 글은 Cyclidius 속, 종에 대한 간략한 정보제공과 함께 일부 종들이 Cy. elongatus 의 동물 이명일 수 있다는 가능성을 제시한다. 

The genus Cyclidius MacLeay, 1838 is primarily distributed in the Neotropical region and comprises 6 species. With the exception of the well-known Cy. elongatus (Olivier, 1789), the remaining species are poorly studied. This paper provides an introduction to the genus Cyclidius and its species while also proposing the possibility of synonymy for some of these species with Cy. elongatus .
